Jordan Love injury update is bad news for Packers as backup Malik Willis comes into game image

Jordan Love had to leave the field on Sunday early in the Green Bay Packers' matchup with the New York Giants.

He took a big hit to his upper body area.

Malik Willis, his backup, came into the game.

It appeared the concern for Love would be a concussion, but the injury was then referred to as a left shoulder problem.

He went with trainers to the blue medical tent.

Willis, the athletic and steady backup, was going to get a shot at least temporarily.

On a key third-and-8 right after coming into the game, Willis ran for 17 yards and the first down on a QB keeper.

Love ran into the locker room shortly after that play happened.

The Packers announced Love as questionable to return.

Love eventually returned for the next drive after Willis led a TD on his fill-in drive.

Willis has won games in the past when called upon, and he can probably beat the 2-8 Giants on Sunday.

The Packers have lost two in a row, though, and they can't afford to have lost their quarterback Love for too long.
