The Green Bay Packers are reportedly making a roster move on Tuesday that could be bad news for starting right tackle Zach Tom.

According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the Packers are promoting undrafted free-agent signing Brant Banks to the 53-man roster from the practice squad.

Banks is an offensive tackle, so the move could be a sign that the Packers will need more depth at the position after Tom exited early due to injury in Week 3.

Tom suffered an oblique injury in Week 1 and was ruled out for Week 2 against the Washington Commanders before making his return to action in Week 3. However, Tom lasted just one snap before being pulled.

“I wouldn’t say he further reaggravated,” head coach Matt LaFleur said of Tom on Monday. “It’s always hard to simulate what you’re going to face in a game. You’d have to ask him, but I think that the force of the guy that he’s going against, it hurt him. He didn’t feel like he could go.”

Tom isn't the only injury concern the Packers have upfront, as guard Aaron Banks is dealing with a groin injury that forced his early exit on Sunday. Banks has already missed one game this season.

Jordan Morgan initially filed in for Tom at right tackle before shifting over to guard after Banks exited. Anthony Belton took the reins at right tackle from there.

The Packers will release their first injury report of the week on Wednesday, so we'll have a better idea of how Tom and Banks are doing then.

But the simple fact that the Packers added another tackle to the roster suggests there isn't a ton of hope for Tom.
