Is Dontayvion Wicks playing tonight? Injury update, fantasy advice for Packers WR image

The Green Bay Packers have listed wide receiver Dontayvion Wicks as questionable for the Week 16 game against the Chicago Bears.

Wicks has been battling an ankle injury for weeks now. Wicks did not take part in practice on Tuesday before turning in two limited sessions to close out the week.

With Wicks drawing the questionable tag, that means he isn't a lock to play.

However, there is a major reason for optimism for Wicks' chances of suiting up in the all-important game against the Bears on Saturday night.

Is Dontayvion Wicks playing tonight?

We don't have confirmation on Wicks' status yet, but we do know that he has been dealing with his ankle injury for a few weeks now, yet it has not stopped him from playing thus far.

Knowing that, and knowing Wicks was able to participate in practice on a limited basis this week, we would say he has a good chance to play against Chicago.

Final confirmation for Wicks' playing status will come around 6:50 p.m. ET, when both teams will release their inactives ahead of kickoff.

Dontayvion Wicks fantasy football advice

Wicks enters Saturday night's contest ranked as WR77 overall, which leaves him off the starting radar on a weekly basis.

Wicks has only had one good fantasy showing this season, which came in Week 13, when he ripped off six catches for 94 yards and two touchdowns.

Outside of that, Wicks hasn't posted more than 44 yards in any other game, nor has he scored any touchdowns outside of that Week 13 contest.

The only argument to be made in favor of starting Wicks is the Bears are giving up the third-most fantasy points per game to wide receivers this season.

However, there just simply isn't enough here to start Wicks in the fantasy playoffs, even if fellow wideout Christian Watson, who is questionable, is ruled out.

Verdict: Sit
