The Green Bay Packers have a bit of a question mark in wide receiver Christian Watson ahead of the Week 17 game against the Baltimore Ravens.
Watson, who is dealing with a shoulder injury suffered a few weeks back, finished off the week as a non-participant in practice after logging full sessions on Tuesday and Wednesday.
It was revealed that Watson's lack of participation to close out the week was a result of an illness, which led to him getting the questionable tag.
Here's what we know about Watson's chances of playing on Saturday night.
Is Christian Watson playing today?
We don't have a definitive answer on Watson yet, but he should be expected to go.
That's because Watson's hurdle is just an illness, and while we saw multiple players get ruled out on Thursday because of illnesses, this is a different situation.
Washington Commanders running back Chris Rodriguez and Detroit Lions tackle Taylor Decker both were added to the injury report on gameday because of their illnesses and were ultimately ruled out.
But Watson has been dealing with this illness for a few days now, so it's likely he's had ample time to get right ahead of kickoff.
If Watson can't go, the Packers will need more out of wide receivers Romeo Doubs, Jayden Reed, Matthew Golden and Dontayvion Wicks.
Christian Watson start or sit advice
Since making his season debut in Week 8, Watson has been the Packers' best and most consistent wide receiver.
In that span, Watson has ranked as WR30 overall, but that ranking has been greatly impacted by two lackluster showings in a row. If you take those out, Watson ranks as WR20 overall from Weeks 8-14, which makes him a borderline WR2 play.
There's a good explanations for why Watson hasn't done much the last two weeks.
In Week 15, he exited the game early due to a shoulder injury.
In Week 16, Watson might not have been operating at 100%, which isn't much of a concern this week given the fact he turned in two full practices before his illness kept him out of practice on Thursday.
While Jordan Love's absence amounts to a downgrade for the Packers, Malik Willis is certainly a capable backup, so that doesn't concern us all that much.
And that's especially true in a matchup against a Ravens defense ceding the 10th-most fantasy points per game to wide receivers this season.
We like Watson as a flex option this week.
