The Detroit Lions weren't taking any chances.
With a 41-22 lead and 6:57 left on Sunday against the Washington Commanders, Jared Goff put his baseball cap on.
Goff stayed on the sideline to start a new offensive drive. Kyle Allen was in.

Why did the Lions pull Jared Goff for Kyle Allen at QB?
The Lions were being careful.
A 19-point lead with less than seven minutes to play wasn't going to be rallied against.
They watched last Sunday night as Commanders QB Jayden Daniels dislocated his elbow while playing with a 31-point deficit.
The Lions have a lot more to play for, and Goff had already put together a great day.
A chance to chill on the sideline and get the backup Allen a few reps made perfect sense.
