The Detroit Lions have a lot of narratives in play heading into their Week 15 matchup with the Los Angeles Rams.
At the forefront is the obvious Jared Goff vs. Matthew Stafford QB matchup, but that's not the most important this week.
It's a crucial game for the Lions' playoff chances.
There are three percentages at play right now, which ESPN revealed in a new update on Friday.
The Lions enter Week 15 with a 54.9% chance to make the playoffs.

If the Lions beat the Rams, their odds rise to 72.7%.
But if the Lions lose, their playoff chances fall to 41.6%.
So that's a 30.6% swing at play between a victory and a defeat on Sunday. That could make all the difference in the long run.

After this, the Lions still play the Steelers, Vikings and Bears. The Week 18 clash with Chicago could have massive implications if things break a certain way between now and then.
First, Detroit has to find a way to beat Stafford.
The game is out west, so Goff will be back in California where he played his college ball and began his NFL career. If he can be comfortable and get the football to his playmakers, the Lions will have a great chance.
