Brian Branch injury update: Latest news on Lions safety's status in Week 14 game image

The Detroit Lions have an injury concern with safety Brian Branch in the second half of the Week 14 game against the Dallas Cowboys.

Branch suffered the injury in the fourth quarter when he was trying to intercept a tipped pass. He stayed down after the play and had to be tended to by trainers.

The Lions have been absolutely cursed by injuries at safety this season. Kerby Joseph has missed extensive time due to injury, and his replacement, Thomas Harper, got hurt earlier in the game, forcing his early exit.

Follow our tracker below for all of the latest updates on Branch's status for the rest of the game.

UPDATE: Still no update from the team but Branch was carted to the locker room, which is a bad sign. Branch definitely won't be back tonight and now his Week 15 status is up in the air.

UPDATE: Branch needed some help exiting the field after getting checked out for a while in the end zone. We're still waiting on an update from the team.

Branch has remained down on the field for an extended period of time as trainers check out his ankle/foot area.
