The Denver Broncos and New England Patriots are exchanging words ahead of Sunday's AFC Championship Game, creating more drama for a game that will decide who will represent the AFC in Super Bowl LX.
On Wednesday, Broncos head coach Sean Payton grabbed some headlines when he spoke about the team having some good rest coming up. Payton used the words "two weeks", which is, of course, the time between the conference championship game and the Super Bowl.
This comment likely rubbed some people the wrong way, while others just chalked it up to Payton being who he is. Broncos Country most likely loved it.
It wasn't going to take long for the Patriots to get wind of those words and on Thursday, wide receiver Kayshon Boutte had a response.

"They can rest in Cancun too", stated Boutte, insinuating that the Broncos can head to Cancun for vacation after the season.
Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel took a more measured approach, choosing not to address Payton's comments directly. "I think we're plenty motivated for the game", said Vrabel.
All of this adds to more bulletin board material for both teams. In the Broncos' case, they have been doubted by nearly everyone all season, even after clinching the No. 1 seed in the AFC. They were a 5.5-point underdog despite being at home, all because they have to play a backup quarterback in the game. That number has improved to 4.5 points, according to DraftKings Sportsbook.

Soon, the time for talk will be over and one of these teams will advance to the Super Bowl.
