The Denver Broncos were pretty much out of it, but they were still throwing to just try and see what they could do.
But then Pat Bryant got crushed going over the middle, and the mood got even worse.
Bo Nix threaded a pass to the rookie Bryant, who somehow held on.
But the big hit from Montaric Brown drew a penalty flag and left Bryant laying on the ground.
Trainers rushed out to check on Bryant as the officials figured out the flag.
Bryant had to get carted off, strapped to the back board.

Nix looked distraught, having thrown Bryant right into the big hit.
It just was a terrible scene to end what had been a bad day for the Broncos.
Bryant is a promising rookie WR, and he's gotten key snaps for Denver at times. He's the kind of guy who could make a clutch play at some point in the postseason, if he's available.
But the Broncos will have to wait and see what Bryant can do from here, because this was definitely a painful one.
