Pat Bryant's injury update overnight is positive news for Broncos WR after scary hit image

It's still a tough hit to think about.

Denver Broncos rookie WR Pat Bryant was racing across the middle of the field for a pass from Bo Nix.

At the catch point, Bryant was met by Jaguars safety Montaric Brown, who delivered a crushing blow to Bryant.

Bryant crumpled to the turf and didn't get up. Trainers attended to him, and he was eventually carted off the field on a back board.

It was the end of a tough defeat for Denver, and the only concern after the game was for how Bryant was doing.

Good news came overnight, when it was reported that Bryant was released from the hospital with only a concussion.

Obviously, concussions aren't a good thing, but in this circumstance, it felt like things could've turned out so much worse.

The Broncos will likely be without Bryant for at least a week as he goes through concussion protocol, but that's a recovery that teams are used to. Eventually, Bryant should be able to get back onto the field, maybe in time for Denver's playoff opener in a few weeks.

Whenever Bryant comes back, fans and teammates will be grateful that he's returned. They'll also be crossing their fingers that he can avoid any more hits like that one, because no one wants to see that happen again.
