Nick Foles provides Broncos a reason to believe at QB after Bo Nix injury image

Nick Foles knows a thing or two about this.

The former Philadelphia Eagles quarterback once beat Tom Brady and the Patriots in a Super Bowl, despite being just the Eagles' backup QB behind an injured Carson Wentz.

Now, he's watching the Denver Broncos from afar.

The Broncos will host the Patriots in the AFC Championship Game on Sunday, Jan. 25. And Denver is without starting quarterback Bo Nix due to a fractured ankle.

Now, the Broncos will be relying on Jarrett Stidham to get past the Pats and into the Super Bowl.

Foles provided these words of encouragement in a post on X on Sunday night:

"Note for the Broncos and their fans: I know it has been an emotional 24 hours. I feel for Bo and the team, and I'm sending prayers for a strong recovery. A positive note going into the game versus the Patriots is that they struggle against backup QBs in championship-type games."

Perfect. No notes. Great sense of humor.

The Broncos probably wouldn't mind having Foles himself to roll out there against the Pats, but he's happily retired.

It'll be up to Stidham to embrace his inner Nick Foles.

And hey, if Stidham does it, he'll be a legend.
