Despite the Denver Broncos arguably being the best team in the NFL to start the 2025-26 NFL season at 9-2 and in first place in the AFC West by two games over the Los Angeles Chargers, some have still questioned whether Bo Nix is the right quarterback for them moving forward.

Nix has been a tough player to evaluate throughout the season, not really throwing the football as well as many hoped for. He threw for 295 yards against the Kansas City Chiefs last time out, but also didn't throw for a touchdown.

On the year, the youngster has 2,421 yards, 18 touchdowns, and eight interceptions. On the surface, it doesn't look like he's been a bad player by any means, but he can definitely be a lot better.

Former Broncos legend John Elway wants Nix to understand that if the team continues to win games, everything else will go away. He doesn't want him to get caught up in any of the media talk and is more worried about his former team winning at the highest level.

“It’s funny to listen, they’re 9-2, and everyone’s talking about ‘Oh, they’re not playing that good’ and this or that. I said ‘Bo [Nix], turn it down and don’t listen to it. If you keep winning games, everything else goes away,” Elway said, per Essentially Sports.

If one player understands what it takes to play in Denver and win at the highest level, it's Elway.

“Having the job, no question,” he said. It’s not for everybody.”

It'll be interesting to see how Nix finishes the remainder of the year.

If he can take the Broncos to the promised land, a lot of those questions will turn into positivity.
