Broncos Country should all be rooting for the Houston Texans in Week 17.
The Texans will take on the Los Angeles Chargers in a huge game with major playoff implications on Saturday. The game will be played at SoFi Stadium and will feature two of the AFC's hottest teams.
The Texans have won a league-best seven straight games while the Chargers have won each of their last four. But Broncos fans should be Texans fans, at least for the three hours or so that this game will be played.
That is because if the Texans win, the Broncos will clinch their first AFC West title in a decade and take some of the pressure off of playing the Chargers in the season finale next Sunday. If the Chargers win, then the Week 18 clash will be for the AFC West title since the Chargers already beat the Broncos once this season, and that game could even be for the AFC's top seed.
The last time these two teams took the field, the Texans thumped the Chargers in the Wild Card round of the playoffs last season. The Texans forced Justin Herbert to throw four interceptions en route to a 32-12 victory. The Chargers have not forgotten that loss and will be looking for a measure of revenge on Saturday afternoon.
The Texans' last loss this season came against the Broncos in a game in which quarterback C.J. Stroud left with a concussion. Davis Mills took over and nearly led the Texans to a win and that team has won every game since.
The Chargers have overcome numerous injuries to key players this season, mostly along their offensive line, to get to 11-4 on the season. They beat the Broncos 23-20 back in Week 3 after Herbert threw an incredible touchdown pass to Keenan Allen late in the game.
After forcing the Broncos to go three-and-out on their next possession, the Chargers set up a game-winning field goal by Cameron Dicker.

The Kansas City Chiefs have won the AFC West division title in each of the last nine seasons. There will be a new winner this season and that could be determined as early as this Saturday evening.
