The 2025-26 NFL playoffs have kicked off and the Denver Broncos are enjoying watching the Wild Card round from home after earning home-field advantage throughout the playoffs and a first-round bye.
While the Broncos utilize that week off to their advantage, we can look back at the regular season and determine some of the best plays and moments from what was a terrific regular season for the team. Big things were expected when the season kicked off, but not even the most hardcore fans of the orange and blue envisioned a 14-win season.
Broncos Country hopes there are many more huge plays coming in the playoffs. Here, we are going to look at the five best plays from the regular season. This list was not easy to pare down, but when these plays happened was one of the biggest factors in coming up with a top five. The team had several great plays this season, but in addition to great feats of athleticism, the plays that took place in the biggest and most important moments were weighted heavily as well.
One player appears on the list twice, and it's likely a player you wouldn't have guessed, and the top two plays of the season came from the same game.

5. RJ Harvey touchdown run vs. Cowboys
The Broncos had an offensive explosion in Week 8 against the Dallas Cowboys, posting 44 points. Rookie running back RJ Harvey, who had a terrific rookie season, only rushed for 46 yards in this game, but 40 of them came on this beautiful touchdown run to open the scoring.

4. Troy Franklin catches deflection against Giants
The Broncos had one of the most incredible comebacks in team history in Week 7 when they overcame deficits of 19-0 and 26-8 to beat the New York Giants after they scored 33 points in the fourth quarter.
Still sitting on no points in the fourth quarter, the Broncos faced 2nd-and-goal from the Giants' 2-yard line. Bo Nix tried to get the ball into the end zone to Courtland Sutton, but it deflected off his hands and went into the hands of a diving Troy Franklin in the end zone. This play not only gave the Broncos some points, but it also created some momentum that they were able to use for the rest of a wild fourth quarter.

3. Troy Franklin reels in massive catch against the Chiefs
Though the Kansas City Chiefs had a down year, they were still well within reach of the Broncos in their first meeting of the season in Week 11.
The game was tied 19-19 late in the fourth quarter. The Broncos had the ball, but they needed a play. Nix dropped back to throw and decided to go for a big throw in the direction of his college teammate, Franklin. Franklin made a great adjustment to the ball and hauled in the pass for a gain of 32 yards down to the Chiefs' 15-yard line. That set up Wil Lutz's game-winning field goal and the Broncos got the win they left in Kansas City last season back.
