The Denver Broncos still have a lot of business to take care of this season, and it could end with a trip to the Super Bowl. At 9-2, the Broncos are very much in position to get the No. 1 overall seed in the AFC. That said, it's never too early to start looking towards the future, which includes players who could be part of the team next year.
Mike Renner of CBS Sports put together a mock draft recently and because of their win-loss record, the Broncos are selecting with the last pick in the first round. That pick is used on Washington wide receiver Denzel Boston.
"With Bo Nix's spotty accuracy this season, adding another big-bodied wideout with exceptional ball skills is probably a good idea. Boston is exceptional at plucking the ball outside of his frame and would give them a second receiver who can haul in the back-shoulder throws Nix is so good at", wrote Renner.
Boston is the sixth wide receiver taken in the first round of Renner's mock behind Jordyn Tyson of Arizona State, Carnell Tate of Ohio State, Chris Brazzell II of Tennessee, KC Concepcion of Texas A&M and Makai Lemon of USC.
Boston is a big wide receiver at 6-foot-4. He is a guy the Broncos could line up on the outside to give the team a legitimate No. 2 option in that area to go with Courtland Sutton. That could allow guys like Marvin Mims Jr. And Troy Franklin to work from the inside and make the offense more complete.

Boston is tremendous in contested catch situations and would be a dangerous threat in the red zone. He caught 63 passes for 834 yards and nine touchdowns last season and he's on pace to surpass those numbers this year, having already caught 52 passes for 730 yards and eight scores.
The Broncos, regardless of how this season turns out, will be looking for more wide receiver help in 2026, whether that comes in free agency, the draft, or both. Many mock drafts between now and then will have them connected to one of these first-round wide receiver prospects, and it's almost certainly not the last time you'll see the name of Boston listed as going to the Broncos.
