Is Courtland Sutton playing today? Why Broncos WR is off to slow start vs. Bills image

Courtland Sutton once again operated as the Denver Broncos' No. 1 wide receiver this season.

Sutton finished north of 1,000 yards once again in 2025, and he led all Broncos pass-catchers in receiving yards and touchdowns.

However, Sutton is off to a slow start in the divisional round game against the Buffalo Bills on Saturday.

Here's a closer look at what's going on.

Is Courtland Sutton playing today?

UPDATE: We're through an entire half of football but Sutton still has no catches on three targets. Two of the passes thrown his way weren't accurate, and one target was knocked loose by a Bills defender.

UPDATE: Three drives in the books and Sutton still doesn't have a catch and is stuck on one target.

UPDATE: Sutton has his first target on the Broncos' second drive, but he wasn't able to reel in the pass from Nix.

Yes, Sutton is active and healthy, he just didn't see a target on Denver's first drive.

Quarterback Bo Nix was slinging it all over the field on the series and it was a nice, long drive for Denver, but Sutton did not see any action.

We would expect that to change soon.
