The Denver Broncos won their Week 17 matchup over the Kansas City Chiefs on Christmas night with a close win over the Patrick Mahomes-less Chiefs.
But a win is a win, and the Broncos were in the driver's seat for the AFC West. And after the Houston Texans beat the Los Angeles Chargers on Saturday, they officially clinched the AFC West.
After this clinching loss from the Chargers, Broncos star defender Jonathon Cooper took to Twitter/x, where he posted an NSFW message on the Chiefs. Cooper had two posts, neither of which was flattering.
Broncos star defender Jonathon Cooper has NSFW message on Chiefs after AFC West title
"(Expletive) the Chiefs," Cooper first posted on Twitter/x. Immediately afterwards, Cooper followed it up with, "(Expletive) made (expletive) pansies."
The strongly worded message from Cooper to the Chiefs comes a few hours after the Broncos clinched the division, and amid the Chiefs' losing season.
Kansas City will finish with a record no better than 7-10. If they lose in the final week to the Las Vegas Raiders, then they would finish at 6-11, by far the worst record they've had in some time.
After years of making the playoffs, the Chiefs are missing this season's field. Meanwhile, the Broncos have not only clinched a playoff spot but also the AFC West title, and are one game away from clinching the AFC's number 1 seed.
Cooper's message on the Chiefs is a bold one. The Broncos pass rusher, who has eight sacks and 49 tackles so far this season in his 5th year in the NFL.

While almost every Broncos fan was likely tired of seeing the Chiefs win the division year in and year out, Cooper's feelings are on the extreme end of the spectrum.
The Chiefs have just one game left in their season, while the Broncos have at least two more to go with a playoff spot guaranteed. Depending on the Week 18 outcome, the Broncos might also wind up with a first-round bye.
This has been a great season for the Broncos, as they've left the Chiefs in the dust en route to a playoff berth, an AFC West title, and potentially a first-round bye.
Cooper's feelings are clear in that he very much does not like the Chiefs. Kansas City is facing some major changes, including a potential stadium relocation. The Broncos, meanwhile, have a good chance of a Super Bowl win this season.
