The Denver Broncos continue to feel wonderful about their 2025 first-round pick.
Jahdae Barron out of Texas went No. 20 overall to Sean Payton's squad, and his versatility appears to be a calling card.
Payton said Barron was "too unique to pass up."
In college at Texas, Barron played as the nickel for two seasons before playing boundary corner in 2024. He also spent ample snap counts in the box.
The Broncos plan to play Barron in the slot as a rookie, per 9News.
Denver already has its outside CB starters returning with Patrick Surtain and Riley Moss.
It works out nicely that Barron can do it all, so there isn't much consternation about the decision.
Instead, the Broncos can just bump him inside and he can get the job done.

It's a good problem to have for defensive coordinator Vance Joseph. He can spend each week scheming for an opponent and figuring out the best way to use the capable-of-much Barron.
Eventually, Barron can grow into another lockdown defender somewhere in the secondary, much in the way Surtain already is. It's an exciting time to be defensive backs in Denver.
