Broncos' Pat Surtain II delivers stern warning on Giants' Jaxson Dart image

The Denver Broncos head into their matchup on Sunday with the New York Giants red-hot, riding a three-game winning streak.

While New York, on the surface, seems like a relatively easy opponent, they've been given a shot in the arm since rookie Jaxson Dart took over for Russell Wilson at quarterback.

Bronco's All-Pro cornerback Patrick Surtain II knows that the team can't let its guards down even for a second, or they could risk suffering the same fate as the Philadelphia Eagles last Thursday night.

Pat Surtain issues warning on Jaxson Dart

In his press conference this week, last year's Defensive Player of the Year addressed Denver's upcoming matchup and Dart.

"The team is rallying behind him. He is very confident. It seems like he’s playing with a chip on his shoulder," Surtain told the press.

"You can just see the poise and intangibles. He can make every throw across the field. A very underrated part of his game is his scrambling ability and his ability to create second-chance opportunities for his offense on his feet."

Despite the Giants' 2-4 record, Surtain understands the dangers of allowing a quarterback like Dart to get comfortable and knows it's on him and the Broncos defense to keep him out of rhythm.

"You saw it last week against Philly. He had a few possessions where he made plays [with] his feet. That is something we will have to take account for, but I think he will be a great player for sure in this league."

That's high praise from Surtain, as one of the best coverage corners in the league would certainly know what a great quarterback looks like.
