The Denver Broncos have not won a postseason game since winning Super Bowl 50 on February 7, 2016.
The team made it to the playoffs for the first time since that game last season, losing 31-7 to the Buffalo Bills in the Wild Card round. That was Bo Nix's first chance to win a playoff game and on Saturday, he will have another opportunity, against the same team.
If the Broncos win, Nix will become just the second quarterback ever drafted by the Broncos to win a postseason game. The team has had a lot of postseason success, winning three Super Bowls, but nearly all of that success has been led by a quarterback who was not drafted by the team.
The only one to do it? Tim Tebow. On January 8, 2012, Tebow threw for 316 yards as the Broncos defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers 29-23 on the first play of overtime. The game-winning play remains one of the greatest moments in team history.

It is hard to believe that no other quarterback drafted by the team has won a playoff game and it is one of the best trivia questions there is for fans of the Broncos. Can Nix change that on Saturday?
Broncos starting QBs who have won playoff games
| Player | Playoff wins for Broncos | Drafted by |
| Craig Morton | 2 | Dallas Cowboys |
| John Elway | 14 | Baltimore Colts |
| Jake Plummer | 1 | Arizona Cardinals |
| Tim Tebow | 1 | Denver Broncos |
| Peyton Manning | 5 | Indianapolis Colts |
Nix got off to a fabulous start against the Bills in the playoffs last year, connecting with Troy Franklin for a 43-yard touchdown pass on the game's opening drive. But after that play, he completed just 12 passes for 101 yards the rest of the game.
On Saturday, Nix needs to stay aggressive. Payton needs to be aggressive with his play calls. If you're going to beat the guy who many feel is the best quarterback in the league, you're going to have to play up to his level.
Critics feel that Nix is a weakness for the Broncos and that the team wins in spite of him. If you have watched any of the countless predictions being made by NFL analysts in the media this week, that point has come up numerous times. On Saturday, Nix needs to be the reason the Broncos win. He needs to go out and show these critics that he can be one of the best quarterbacks in the league, no matter who the quarterback on the other side of the field is.

One of the reasons this crazy statistic exists is that many of the quarterbacks drafted by the Broncos have never started a playoff game. Nix is in the playoffs for the second time in two tries. That's not by accident.
