The Denver Broncos might be the best team in the NFL, and that is no exaggeration. The team won its 11th game in a row on Sunday by defeating the Green Bay Packers, 34-26.

The Broncos have not lost a game since September and have not lost a game at home since last October. Still, the Packers were favored to win this game by the oddsmakers. Despite a 12-2 record, the Broncos are failing to get the respect of many within the media and of fans around the country.

Critics are waiting for a Denver collapse, mostly because the team's quarterback, Bo Nix, is considered by most to be a very average NFL quarterback. But he certainly didn't look average against the Packers. In fact, this might have been the best game he's played as a pro.

Nix completed 23 of 34 passes for 302 yards and four touchdowns. He didn't turn the ball over and he wasn't sacked once. That translates to a QBR of 134.7. All of that was done against a defense that by all accounts is quite good.

There will still be doubters, but they should start getting much quieter.

At the beginning of the season, the Broncos were looked at as a team with a great defense that couldn't score points. Nix was seen as the team's weak link and it was considered by many to be just a matter of time before he was fully exposed. He is handling all of that by getting better each week.

Sean Payton was aggressive with his play calls in this game, having Nix put the ball in the air often in situations where the "safe" play would have been to run the ball and play not to lose rather than play to win. But this has been a gradual process, one in which Nix has earned the trust of his head coach and it's building into a terrific operation at just the right time.

And now, the Broncos look like a complete team, one that is putting together plenty of offense while still having one of the league's best defenses. It is the kind of team no one is going to want to play in the playoffs, and the chances of all of their postseason games being played in Denver are greatly increasing

The Broncos will be looked at by many as a team that is beatable with a question mark at quarterback until the playoffs start. But if teams around the league look at them that way, they will likely end up just like the last 11 opponents have, on the losing end of things.
