Javonte Williams got a first-half touchdown for the Dallas Cowboys, so he's not having a bad Christmas.
But it felt like for much of the first half, Williams was on the sideline. In his place: Malik Davis.
Davis wasn't even with the Cowboys at the start of the season, but he's proven to be an absolutely fantastic RB2 in place of the expected guy in that spot, Jaydon Blue.
Blue continues to be a healthy scratch.
Davis looks great.

Why is Malik Davis playing more than Javonte Williams?
This appeared to just be a preferential situation, but then the Netflix announcers made it clear: Williams is questionable to return with a shoulder injury.
Davis has been effective, too, which hasn't hurt.
But the Cowboys ran Williams a lot early. He was running powerfully and running defenders over.
Then he disappeared. Turns out he's injured.
Davis will see plenty of work in the meantime. The only other back active is fullback Hunter Luepke.
