The Dallas Cowboys could enter their Week 15 game on Sunday night against the Minnesota Vikings knowing that a win could put them just half a game behind the Philadelphia Eagles in the race for the NFC East title.
Granted, the Eagles, at home, would need to lose to the Las Vegas Raiders, which I just don't see happening, but the NFL is a never-say-never league.
Still, the Cowboys have to beat the Vikings first, who just held the Washington Commanders scoreless while scoring 31 points themselves.
But at home, CBS Sports' Pete Prisco thinks the Cowboys get back on track, winning 24-21.
"The Vikings are playing out the string, but they did get a nice game from J.J. McCarthy last week, which is big for the future," Prisco writes. "Now let's see him do it on the road this week. The Cowboys are rested after losing last Thursday to the Lions. I see them bouncing back here as Dak Prescott has a solid day, but the Vikings will hang around."

Cowboys face must-win vs. Vikings
Getting into the playoffs via a wildcard spot is not an option for the Cowboys, and hasn't been for months, but as division winner? That's the only path left.
Of course, the Eagles would need to stumble badly down the stretch, losing a handful of games, and Dallas wins out, so there is a way, it's just a tough one.
Hence, winning Sunday night is crucial.
If the Eagles win, which they should, and the Cowboys lose, then it is curtains for the 2025 season with three games left.
Dallas, at home, has to be all gas, no brakes, and slay the Vikings, who showed some form against a disappointing Washington team last week.
The margin for error is gone for the Cowboys. It's win-or-go-home time.
