The Dallas Cowboys returned from their bye to play the Raiders on Monday Night Football.

And something weird happened right out of the gate with CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens: Neither was on the field.

What in the world?

Good news: Both came in for the second drive.

Why aren't CeeDee Lamb, George Pickens playing?

It wasn't expected that Lamb and Pickens wouldn't play the first drive, but it was reported that they may have missed some team obligations.

It wasn't immediately clear whether they'd sit one drive or more.

Both were on the bench in uniform but just watching the opening series, which was a quick punt for Dallas.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport posted on X and described it as "some discipline."

Pickens and Lamb both jogged out onto the field for the first play of the Cowboys' second drive.

Whatever it was, it appears it was a one-drive punishment.
