Week 15 Cowboys prediction will make Eagles fans nervous image

The Dallas Cowboys had their momentum stall last week against the Detroit Lions, but not many hopped off Brian Schottenheimer's bandwagon.

Now looking ahead to the Week 15 clash against the Minnesota Vikings, the Cowboys will be at home, and know that depending on how results go earlier in the day, Sunday night's game could have a whole lot riding on it.

Needing the Philadelphia Eagles to stumble and for Dallas to win out, that is the only path to the postseason for Schottenheimer's team.

And NFL.com's Dan Parr thinks the Cowboys will take the NFC East battle into Week 16, beating the Vikings 27-21.

"Dallas has been tough to beat at home and is still clinging to playoff hopes with the Eagles in faceplant mode," Parr writes. "I'm expecting Brian Schottenheimer's crew to survive a close one, something they've proven they can do at AT&T Stadium."

Cowboys' season comes down to Vikings clash

With Dallas needing to win out and have the Eagles seriously stumble, the margin for error is zero for Schottenheimer's team.

Plus, if Philadelphia beats the Las Vegas Raiders, as many expect them to in the early window, that will put even more pressure on Dallas to beat the Vikings.

Still 1.5 games behind the Eagles, if that goes to 2.5 with three games left, the NFC East will likely not be obtainable, which means no playoffs for the Cowboys in 2025.

So, the path forward is simple for Dallas -- win out and hope results go your way.
