Javonte Williams had a breakout 2025 campaign with the Dallas Cowboys.
Williams, who signed a cheap one-year deal with Dallas last offseason, rushed for a career-high 1,201 yards and 11 touchdowns this season. The 25-year-old also added 137 yards and two touchdowns, establishing himself as a key playmaker in the Cowboys' offense.
With Williams set to hit free agency in the spring, the star running back will have a competitive market. However, Dallas doesn't plan on letting Williams get away.
While speaking to the media on Wednesday, Cowboys director of player personnel Stephen Jones said Dallas plans on signing Williams to a multi-year contract. He also added that bringing back Williams is near the top of the team's offseason priorities list.
"Cowboys EVP Stephen Jones said re-signing RB Javonte Williams is at the top of their list of offseason priorities: 'We want to bring him back and sign him to a multiple-year deal,' Jon Machota of The Athletic said on X.
Re-signing Williams is a no-brainer for Dallas.
The former Denver Bronco is the engine of the team's rushing attack, and he proved to be one of the best value signings of the 2025 free agency period.
We'll see what else the Cowboys sod tis offseaosn, but getting a deal done with Williams would be a good first step to a productive off-season.
