With wide receiver CeeDee Lamb sidelined for multiple games due to injury, the Dallas Cowboys desperately need wideout George Pickens to step up.
Pickens entered the season as the No. 2 wide receiver for Dallas after being acquired in a trade with the Pittsburgh Steelers during the offseason.
However, after Lamb suffered a high-ankle sprain that is going to keep him out for multiple weeks, Pickens is now the alpha in Dallas' wide receivers room.
Unfortunately for Dallas, Pickens is off to a quiet start in the Week 4 game against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday night. Here's a closer look at what's going on.
Is George Pickens playing tonight?
UPDATE: Pickens is cooking now.
He's up to three catches for 53 yards and he just made a sick catch near the end zone.
END OF UPDATE
UPDATE: Pickens finally has his first target on the Cowboys' third drive.
It came on a deep ball down the sideline, but the pass was broken up by Green Bay.
END OF UPDATE
UPDATE: Prescott threw four passes on the Cowboys' second offensive series of the game, but none of them went to Pickens.
Instead, Prescott threw passes to Jake Ferguson, Javonte Williams and KaVontae Turpin.
END OF UPDATE
Pickens is active, healthy and in the lineup, but we're still waiting for him to get his first target of the evening.
The Cowboys' first drive was a quick three-and-out, and quarterback Dak Prescott didn't throw the ball once. Instead, Dallas handed the ball off to running back Javonte Williams three times.
Maybe Dak will throw a pass on the next drive.
