The Dallas Cowboys have an injury to monitor with wide receiver George Pickens ahead of their Week 13 game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
According to the Cowboys' estimated injury report for Monday, Pickens was listed as a non-participant in the team's walk-through with calf and knee injuries.
Pickens did appear to get banged-up during the Week 12 win over the Philadelphia Eagles but was able to finish out the game.
Head coach Brian Schottenheimer revealed that Pickens is dealing with a bruised shin and is "sore" but the expectation is he'll be fine for Week 13.
"Brian Schottenheimer said Quinnen Williams (ribs) and George Pickens (bruised shin) are 'sore' but seemed to indicate both will be good for Thursday after they do some more moving around on Tuesday," ESPN's Todd Archer reported.
The Cowboys will have two more practices before their Thursday contest versus Kansas City, so Pickens has a few more days to get right.
We'll be monitoring his practice status closely over the next few days.
Pickens has been a revelation for the Cowboys in 2025 and has been Dak Prescott's most reliable target with fellow wide receiver CeeDee Lamb dealing with drop issues and injury this season.
Entering Week 13, Pickens' 1,054 receiving yards are the most on the team and second-most in the NFL behind Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Jaxson Smith-Njigba. Pickens is also just 86 yards shy of tying his career-high mark.
On Monday, owner Jerry Jones made it quite clear he is very open to extending Pickens after the season.
"Of course, of course we are proud to have him and I don't even want to play games with it, we'd love to have him on the team," Jones said when asked if the team feels strongly about keeping Pickens, per The Athletic's Jon Machota.
