DeMarcus Lawrence was right.

It's really that simple.

When the talented pass rusher left the Dallas Cowboys for the Seattle Seahawks before the 2025 season, he delivered a message that ticked off Dallas sports fans.

Now, he's validating it.

"Dallas is my home," Lawrence said in the summer. "... But I know for sure I'm not gonna win a Super Bowl there."

The Cowboys missed the playoffs entirely.

The Seahawks won the NFC Championship Game on Sunday to advance to the Super Bowl to take on Drake Maye and the New England Patriots.

The Cowboys haven't even played in the conference championship game since 1995.

During the regular season, Lawrence had 6.0 sacks, forced three fumbles and recovered three fumbles.

He's 33 years old now, needing a bit more measured approach to playing time.

But he always had a game with the potential to shine brighter when the stage got bigger.

He just had to leave Dallas to find that stage.

And now, he'll play on the biggest one.
