The Dallas Cowboys haven't had cornerback Trevon Diggs on the field since Week 6.
That's because Diggs has been on injured reserve after suffering a concussion in an at-home accident, the details of which remain unclear. Diggs has also been battling a knee issue, the team later revealed.
However, Diggs was designated to return from injured reserve this week and has now returned to practice, which puts him one step closer to getting back on the field.
When asked about Diggs' status for Week 14, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones did not give a definitive answer, but didn't rule Diggs out from playing, either.
“If it goes and you can draw it up (the way you want), you could see him out there,” Jones told 105.3 The Fan, via ESPN's Todd Archer.
On Sunday, Diggs revealed he feels "100% better" and is excited for his return to the field, whenever that might come.
"I'm really excited," Diggs said. "I feel like momentum is going, and I just want to make sure I go out there and continue the momentum, put out great effort, make plays, and just continue to try and help this team win."
When it comes to the details behind his at-home accident, Diggs simply said "it happens, it's life. Things happen."
Diggs went into detail about his knee issue while also saying he feels ready to play.
"I feel way better now, because you don't know how you're going to feel when you get out there, you know?" Diggs added. "I went out there, I was feeling good the first couple of weeks, and then it started to weigh on me a little bit.
"I started getting some swelling in my knee. Now, I don't have any swelling in my knee, I feel good, I feel like I'm running good, I feel like my hamstring's strong, everything is good and strong. I feel ready."
On the team's first injury report of the week, Diggs was listed as a limited participant.
He'll now have two more days to show he's ready to go, and chances are we'll get a final decision on Diggs' status on Wednesday.
