The Dallas Cowboys are reportedly set to meet with former No. 1 overall pick and edge rusher, Jadeveon Clowney.
According to NFL insider Josina Anderson, Clowney is going to visit with the Cowboys on Wednesday.
From Anderson: "A league source told me Wednesday morning free agent edge rusher Jadeveon Clowney is meeting with the Dallas Cowboys Wednesday to see if he can help bolster the team's defense."
Clowney was with the Carolina Panthers earlier this offseason after spending one year with the team. However, he was cut loose in May after the Panthers made multiple additions to the EDGE group in the 2025 NFL draft.
A former No. 1 overall pick of the Houston Texans, Clowney's career has been a major disappointment after he was projected to be a generational talent.
Clowney is still a productive player, though. He tallied 5.5 sacks with the Panthers in 14 games last season and has posted nine or more in a season four times during his career.
The Cowboys have a clear need along the edge after trading away Micah Parsons to the Green Bay Packers. Clowney certainly doesn't replace Parsons fully, but he would be a welcomed addition to Dallas' defense.
According to Pro Football Focus, the Cowboys actually tallied a whopping 20 pressures in Week 1, but they only managed one sack.
We'll see if Clowney leaves Dallas without a deal on Wednesday.
