Dak Prescott's quote on team belief will thrill Cowboys fans after Eagles comeback image

Dallas Cowboys fans are likely still trying to make sense of what transpired at AT&T Stadium on Sunday as Brian Schottenheimer's team completed an incredible comeback in the 24-21 win over the Philadelphia Eagles.

Being down 21-0 midway through the second quarter, the Cowboys, through their own doing, dug themselves a monumental hole that most thought they couldn't get out of.

But Dallas believed.

And as a result, an incredible comeback that ended with Brandon Aubrey's game-winning field goal was met with jubilation for Cowboys Nation, as the season remains alive.

And for Dak Prescott, belief on the sidelines never wavered, while he also made a point to thank his defense, who, for the first time this season, bailed out the offense.

“It was needed, yeah, that game was needed, never blinked, never had any doubt, and a thousand percent believed from the beginning,” Prescott said. "That's just a testament to this brotherhood sticking together, going down 21 against the defending Super Bowl champs, in a division game is tough. I'm sure there was fans, people, oh, this is over, these guys are going to run off.

"But, defense, defense, defense, defense. I can't give them enough credit. We wouldn't have won this game without the opportunities that they gave us over and over again.”

Cowboys set up monster Thanksgiving game vs. Chiefs

With both the Cowboys and Chiefs winning in Week 12, that now sets up a huge Thanksgiving clash with both teams fighting for their playoff lives.

But the Cowboys' offense can't allow the effort we saw in the first half again, because yes, the win was great, but make no mistake, Dallas got out of jail here.

And if the same happens to the Chiefs, Dallas likely won't be winning that game.

But enough of the negativity, the Cowboys were good value in the second half to move to 5-5-1, and now are in with a shot at playoff football. Yes, it is a little way off yet, but the season extends another week.

And who knows, if the offense and defense play like they did against the Eagles, next week, who knows what could happen.
