The Dallas Cowboys traded Micah Parsons to the Green Bay Packers for three-time Pro Bowl defensive tackle Kenny Clark and two first-round draft picks (2026 and 2027).
Since the trade was announced, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has faced intense criticism. Many question why Dallas couldn't find a middle ground with Parsons to hold onto the star pass rusher.

Nonetheless, on Sunday, FOX Sports NFL analyst Terry Bradshaw came to the defense of Jones and noted that the Dallas owner made the right decision in trading Parsons.
"I think Jerry Jones did the right thing," Bradshaw said. "I don't blame him one bit. I would have unloaded him. Saves me a ton of money on the salary cap, number one. All right? He's automatically getting two more first-round picks to go with the two he's already got.
"Who's to say that at the end of this year, if things don't work out, somebody's going to get traded and pick up another one. Jerry Jones is sitting in the driver's seat. I think it was a smart decision."
Moreover, Bradshaw believes that Jones is replicating the Herschel Walker trade, as that move benefited the Cowboys to help the franchise build its dynasty of the 90s.

As part of the Walker trade, the Cowboys used the draft picks to select key players like Emmitt Smith and Darren Woodson, who helped win three Super Bowls.
"Jerry Jones had to answer to no one to make this trade," Bradshaw added. "It wasn't the Jimmy Johnson trade when Jimmy moved Walker and they got the six players and they unloaded the six players, which equals six draft picks. This is going to be the same thing, though. Good move by Jerry."
