The Dallas Cowboys' stirring 24-21 win over the Philadelphia Eagles was full of drama, and perhaps for All-Pro receiver CeeDee Lamb, he won't look back on this game with fond memories.

Yes, Lamb would have 75 yards on four catches, but he had 11 targets, and more crucially, he had several drops, including what would have been a touchdown that would have given Dallas the lead late.

This isn't the first time Lamb has had drop issues, with Week 1 against the Eagles seeing 88 drop several crucial passes late in the game as Dallas was driving, trying to win it.

No doubt Lamb won't be happy with his performance, and luckily, he has a quarterback in Dak Prescott who helped keep things level-headed for the All-Pro weapon.

“He's a guy that expects to make a lot of plays, and when he's not making them, trust me, I've had games I felt the exact same way, so for me it was about, hey, don't press,” Prescott said. “Let's not ride the highs and the lows, maybe let it go. You're a hell of a player, he made great plays and big plays. The big catch down the end, and got the PI, would have been a touchdown right after that.

"It was some adversity tonight, and we've seen it before, and we've seen the way that he responds. So, hell, I look forward to him responding.”

George picks up slack with Lamb drop issues

The benefit of having two No. 1 receivers is that if one is struggling like Lamb was at AT&T Stadium, you then have another weapon who can pick up the slack.

And George Pickens did.

No. 3 would catch all nine targets, including a 43-yard bomb from Prescott as Pickens towered over two Eagles defenders to make a spectacular catch, for 146 yards, and he also grabbed a touchdown.

Pickens was again a monster for the Cowboys' offense, and he is adding more money to his monster contract that will be obtained in the offseason as he is emerging as one of Dallas' best offensive weapons.

Yes, Lamb had some drops, and we know how he responds, and luckily tonight, Dallas had Pickens to help pick up the slack.
