Suddenly, the Dallas Cowboys' offense looks as though it's coming together.

On Wednesday morning, the Cowboys finalized a trade to acquire wide receiver George Pickens from the Pittsburgh Steelers. The 24-year-old picked up 900 receiving yards in 224 and looks like an ideal number-two target behind CeeDee Lamb.

Now, the Cowboys could shift their attention to the backfield if they have any more trade ambitions.

Rico Dowdle, the Cowboys' 1,000-yard rusher last season, left for the Carolina Panthers in free agency. Dallas signed a couple of veteran wild cards at the running back position in free agency, but perhaps a trade could still be in order.

In that vein, Bleacher Report's Kristopher Knox named the Cowboys as a trade fit for Los Angeles Chargers running back Najee Harris in an article published on Tuesday.

"Harris would have value on the trade market. While he was never a high-end starter in Pittsburgh, he was a durable high-volume back who topped 1,000 rushing yards in all four of his NFL seasons.

"The Dallas Cowboys could also be interested in Harris. They added former starters Miles Sanders and Javonte Williams in free agency before drafting Jaydon Blue in Round 5, but none of them are surefire starters. Adding Harris to that mix would be sensible."

Harris, 27, has rushed for at least 1,000 yards in each of his first four seasons, all with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He's never quite lived up to his first-round promise, however, and the Chargers taking the University of North Carolina's Omarion Hampton in this year's first round makes it appear that Harris won't be the starter.

With a one-year, $5.25 million contract, there's not necessarily pressure for the Chargers to deal Harris. But perhaps the Cowboys could find the right price to pry him loose without hurting their future draft pick haul too much.
