Dallas Cowboys receiver George Pickens is in the form of his life, and in the win over the Kansas City Chiefs on Thanksgiving, it was one route that dominated Steve Spagnuolo's defense.
Pickens running a slant was just about unstoppable as No. 3, and Dak Prescott connected routinely, particularly late in the fourth quarter on third down to seal the game.
That has led to a lot of talk for defenses to take away the slant route for Pickens, but George stated earlier this week that there's nothing you can do to stop him from running it.
And now head coach Brian Schottenheimer has given his thoughts on the Detroit Lions, who Dallas plays on Thursday, taking away the slant route.
"Well, I'd say this, he's going to run slants in this game," Schottenheimer said. "I'll just put that there. Kelvin Sheppard [Lions defensive coordinator], he's going to run slants. That's part of the deal. If they want to play him, they can. I think that executing something that the defense knows is coming, I think is really cool."

Pickens key to Cowboys in Week 14
One of the best things the Cowboys have going for them is on offense, Dak has two genuine No. 1 weapons, and both Pickens and CeeDee Lamb, when they are on the field together, actually help one another.
Because defenses can't double-team one, because they leave the other one-on-one, and we saw how tough a time star corner Trent McDuffie had last week on Lamb. So, it's pick-your-poison, and if a defense clouds Pickens and Lamb, that is where the slant route comes into play, because the big-play threat isn't there.
The Cowboys have a host of ways to beat you on offense, and we haven't even spoken about Javonte Williams and the run game yet, either.
Schottenheimer says there will be slants for Pickens at Ford Field. Let's see if Detroit can stop it.
