The Dallas Cowboys' defensive line has gone from a position of weakness to one of strength since the offseason.
First, the Cowboys added Kenny Clark in the Micah Parsons trade with the Green Bay Packers, and then Dallas added Quinnen Williams at the trade deadline in a blockbuster deal with the New York Jets.
As a result of those trades, Bleacher Report's Brad Gagnon believes both Osa Odighizuwa and Solomon Thomas could get traded this offseason.
It remains to be seen how the Cowboys will utilize Odighizuwa alongside Quinnen Williams as well as preseason acquisition Kenny Clark, but the fact is they could be positioned to leverage that newfound interior depth to improve elsewhere this offseason," Gagnon writes.
"You'd think they'd be more likely to move on from Odighizuwa, whose play has dropped off in 2025. That said, they'll probably stick with all three highly-paid linemen, leaving veteran Solomon Thomas as the obvious trade chip," Gagnon added.
Odighizuwa could be expendable after the trades for Williams and Clark, but it won't be easy to move him after the veteran inked a four-year, $80 million deal during the offseason.
Making it even more difficult is the fact that Odighizuwa has struggled this season.
But that doesn't mean the Cowboys shouldn't try, as it makes little sense to keep him around now that Williams and Clark are in the fold. Dallas should look to flip the defensive lineman for draft capital or a player who can help them elsewhere.
Thomas would be far easier to move, as he only carries a cap hit of $3.25 million in 2026, which is also the final year of his contract. However, the 30-year-old won't garner much in return, so Dallas might be better served keeping him as depth, especially if Odighizuwa is unloaded.
One way or the other, the Cowboys should look to sell off some of its defensive line depth in 2026.
