CeeDee Lamb's drops were the story of the Dallas Cowboys' opening night of the 2025 NFL season.
Before those, though, he had made some amazing catches, and in the process, he set a record.
Lamb has surpassed the 500-catch threshold for his career. And no one in Cowboys history has done it in fewer games than Lamb, who got there in career game number 82, the team shared on social media.
Even on an off night, Lamb finished with seven catches for 110 yards, by far the most prolific outing for the Cowboys' pass catchers.
And not only did Lamb set a Dallas record, but he climbed very high up the NFL's all-time charts.
Lamb is the fifth-fastest receiver to reach 500 catches in league history when measured by games played, according to Pro Football Talk.
When measured by age, Lamb is the second-fastest WR to 500 catches, behind just the legendary Larry Fitzgerald.

Lamb is in a prolific stretch. He has reached triple-digit catches in each of the past three seasons.
Given the way he started this campaign, he's got a great shot to make that four in a row for 100-catch seasons.
He's got a new top running mate at No. 2 wide receiver in George Pickens. The former Steelers WR had three catches for 30 yards in the opener as well as drawing a flag down the field.
Even with Pickens, this will still be Lamb's show. He'll remedy the costly drops, and he'll keep catching plenty of passes thrown his way by Dak Prescott, at a rate very few ever have done.
