The Dallas Cowboys had a key player pop up on the injury report this week in wide receiver CeeDee Lamb.
Lamb is on the Cowboys' injury report this week with an illness and he has not taken part in practice over the first two days of the week.
That would normally be concerning, but there are a few reasons why we aren't hitting the panic button when it comes to Lamb's status for the Week 16 game versus the Los Angeles Chargers.
CeeDee Lamb injury update
Despite not practicing once again on Thursday, Lamb did take part in the team's meetings during the day, according to ESPN's Todd Archer, which is a good sign for his chances of suiting up, as it's a clear sign Lamb isn't seriously ill.
"CeeDee Lamb (illness) was not on the practice field for the second straight day, but he was involved in the meetings this morning," Archer wrote.
Another positive for Lamb is the fact that he's just dealing with an illness and it's very rare for a player to miss a game because he's sick.
Also bear in mind, Lamb has a few more days to get right before the Cowboys take the field on Sunday. We would suspect he'll be fine by then.
Our next update on Lamb will come on Friday, when the Cowboys drop their final injury report of the week. We would anticipate Lamb practicing and not having a designation going into Sunday.
