Preseason football is very divisive. Some people love it since players on the bubble of making the team get the chance to prove they deserve a spot. Others dislike it because many of the starters don't play, the statistics don't count, and the on-field product isn't as good as it is in the regular season.
If you're a real football fan, preseason football is must-see TV, though. After six months with no NFL, anything is better than nothing. Mainly, you want to watch the preseason because it feels even more chaotic than the regular season. Teams are willing to take more chances, as seen when the Jaguars let Cam Little attempt a 70-yard field goal that he successfully drilled.
In another edition of "things you rarely see," Cowboys star wide receiver CeeDee Lamb, who was not dressed for the team's first preseason game, got absolutely obliterated by a ref running down the sideline.

CeeDee Lamb trucked, flagged by official in preseason game
Lamb wasn't dressed for the game, which is customary for many stars of his stature. He was on the sideline, seemingly minding his own business, when he turned to wave to the crowd.
Then disaster struck.
This time, disaster took the form of a sprinting official who was barreling down the sideline. As he was following the action, he ended up trucking Lamb, whose body lurched forward as he got hit in the back.

He was penalized for “a foul on the official”
Lamb is good. Everyone on the sideline is laughing.

To add insult to injury, Lamb then got flagged for a 15-yard penalty. It wasn't sideline interference; instead, it was deemed "a foul on the official."
Both Lamb and the official avoided injuries, unless you count the jokes that Lamb will now have to endure from teammates.
