The Cleveland Browns picked up their third win of the season on Sunday, besting the Las Vegas Raiders 24-10.
Rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders made his debut, completing 11 of 20 passes for one touchdown and one interception.
The excitement and energy around Sanders is at an all-time high, and it would be shocking to see head coach Kevin Stefnaski make the switch back to Dillon Gabriel... Right?
Browns urged to continue starting Shedeur Sanders
Dan Graziano certainly thinks so, and he urged the Browns to continue starting Sanders for the remainder of 2025 in his column on ESPN.
"Why not? The best-case scenario with Dillon Gabriel is likely him becoming a good backup, and there's time to figure that out. But Sanders is who the fans want to see, and he didn't appear to be overwhelmed by the moment," wrote Graziano.
"The Browns have two first-round picks in the 2026 draft and need to figure out what they have at quarterback before deciding whether to pursue another long-term solution. Plus, they won Sunday, which is something they've done only three times this season."
Sanders certainly felt like he belonged. He looked calm, cool and collected in the pocket throughout the game.
If he can keep guiding his team to victory, there's no telling what the future holds for Sanders and the Browns.
Stefankski has yet to name a starter for the Browns' Week 13 matchup with the San Francisco 49ers, but if he pivots to Gabriel, there may be a riot on his hands.
