The reports have emerged in recent weeks about Shedeur Sanders' decisions during the NFL Draft.
Apparently, the now-Browns rookie QB didn't want to be drafted by either the Baltimore Ravens or the Philadelphia Eagles, two teams with entrenched franchise quarterbacks.
Instead, Sanders fell to the No. 144 overall pick to the Browns, in the fifth round, well after analysts thought he would be chosen.
The Athletic's Jason Lloyd, a veteran Cleveland sports columnist, broke this all down in a new piece out Wednesday.

First things first: Lloyd calls Sanders' decision "a big mistake," because Shedeur could've learned so much more from Lamar Jackson or Jalen Hurts than from the QB carousel that exists in Cleveland.
And maybe even more notable, Lloyd relays what a scout told him this summer about Sanders: That he "plays on tape delay" and is “incredibly late delivering the ball. I mean, nowhere close to where the ball should go on some plays.”
It's hard to think of a whole lot worse insults to give to a quarterback.
The entire position as a passer is about being on time and on target.
So being on tape delay, or incredibly late, seems to be the antithesis of the goal here.
Lloyd then shared this list of QBs drafted in the fifth round since 2010:
"John Skelton, Jonathan Crompton, Ricky Stanzi, T.J. Yates, Nathan Enderle, Aaron Murray, AJ McCarron, Brett Hundley, Kevin Hogan, Nathan Peterman, Mike White, Easton Stick, Clayton Thorson, Jake Fromm, Sam Howell, Clayton Tune, Dorian Thompson-Robinson, Spencer Rattler and Jordan Travis."
Sanders is working upstream here to make something of himself as an NFL quarterback. Sounds like he'll have to literally get up to speed.
