The Cleveland Browns trail the Chicago Bears at the time of writing by the score of 14-0. The Browns' offense has struggled to get anything going, as has their quarterback, Shedeur Sanders.
The rookie out of Colorado is just 4-of-10 for 54 yards at halftime, but there may be a specific reason as to why he and the offense couldn't get anything going in the first two quarters of play. Per Allison Williams on the broadcast, the Browns had to remove Sanders' play-calling wristband and make changes to it, and it sounds as if he wore the incorrect wristband.
"This is a new one," X account Roberto Shenanigans says. "Allison Willliams reports that the Browns removed Shedeur's play-calling wristband after the 1st quarter and they made changes to it. It sounds like Shedeur was wearing the wrong wristband? Never have I ever seen this happen."
If Sanders was wearing the wrong wristband, that would explain why the Browns had just one first down in the first half and totaled just 57 yards to the Bears' 250.
The Bears and Caleb Williams have looked terrific against a Browns defense that has struggled over the last two weeks, as the USC product has thrown for 190 yards and a touchdown in the first half.
