Many things have been said about Shedeur Sanders even before he entered the NFL, from his days as a quarterback at Jackson State and Colorado to now with the Cleveland Browns.
Deion's son has a ton of haters, but he also has a ton of believers.
This week, though, something was said about Shedeur that surely has not been uttered before.
It came from ESPN personality Kendrick Perkins, the former NBA champion center of the Boston Celtics.
This is what Perkins said: "Shedeur Sanders is the most powerful Black man since 2009. You know what happened in 2009? That's when President Obama got elected into office. He's the most powerful Black man since 2009."

Perkins wasn't done.
"When Shedeur Sanders is on the field, and when I say powerful, powerful because there's two sides of it," Perkins said. "He's bringing the whole Black community together. I ain't run across one Black person that done said one bad thing about Shedeur. Not one. He has the balance of I'm arrogant, but I'm humble, too. He's having fun with the s---. And he says, y'all want me to fail, it ain't gonna happen."
This is how Perkins finished: "He's the most powerful Black man in sports. F--- Black man, he's the most powerful player in sports."
Sanders is coming off his first start in the NFL. He won that game on Sunday with the Browns over the Raiders, completing 11-of-20 passes for 209 yards, one touchdown and one interception.
He's certainly the most hyped-up fifth-round pick ever. Sanders was projected as a first-round pick in April, then fell all the way to No. 144 overall, and that was after Cleveland had already chosen another QB, Dillon Gabriel, 50 picks earlier.
Sanders made his NFL debut in Week 11 in relief of Gabriel (concussion) and struggled mightily, going just 4-for-16.
But with a week of practice to prepare as QB1 for the Raiders game, Sanders looked sharper, most of all on a rollout to his right in which he unleashed a 52-yard bomb over the top to fellow rookie Isaiah Bond.
Sanders has already been announced as Cleveland's starter for Week 13 against the 49ers. There will again be plenty of eyes on him.
