Yes, the Cleveland Browns' playoff hopes have been gone for weeks now. Aside from the 3-11 record, there have been some beneficial aspects that have emerged from the 2025 season.

The offense has been inconsistent, stemming from the fact that many young players have taken on large roles for the Browns this season.

On the other side of things, the Browns' defense has been top-tier in 2025. Although there's been a lot of success, the offseason is approaching, and Cleveland will have to make moves on multiple players. In this case, a long-term extension for linebacker Devin Bush should be a top priority.

ESPN lists Devin Bush as the player the Browns need to extend this offseason

ESPN released a list of one player from each team that should be prioritized in the free agent market this offseason.

For the Cleveland Browns, it is linebacker Devin Bush.

It's been a work-in-progress trying to solidify a spot on an NFL roster since suffering a significant knee injury in 2020 for Bush.

The 27-year-old is approaching his first 100-tackle season since his rookie season with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Being paired with Carson Schwesinger in the middle of the Browns' defense, the two have registered over 20% of Cleveland's tackles this season.

Not just this, but Bush has also added two sacks, six tackles for loss, and two interceptions in 2025.

While Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah has been sidelined for the entirety of 2025, Bush has stepped up big. It will be interesting to see if Cleveland offers the linebacker who has revived his career in the NFL.
