Shedeur Sanders has been silencing his detractors across the NFL in his first three starts, putting up some gaudy numbers and leading the Cleveland Browns to a victory over the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 12.

Some thought Sanders wasn't ready to start yet and needed more time to develop, including Browns insider Mary Kay Cabot. She said as much in an appearance on the Ultimate Cleveland Sports Show.

"It’s not that they didn’t think Shedeur had that high of a football acumen. But he was starting a little back further in the process of all the things you have to do to play pro football," Cabot said.

"Just in terms of the play-calling, sliding protection and managing the motions, all that kind of stuff. He just had to get up to speed. But he has gone lightning-quick up that learning curve."

Cabot continued to explain that Sanders' success may stem from the extra time spent preparing with head coach Kevin Stefanski.

"For the narrative that Kevin Stefanski has tried to sabotage him or doesn’t like him — no. The reason why Shedeur has learned as quickly as he has is because of all the extra time Kevin Stefanski has put in with him in that office."

But Shedeur's father, Deion, disagreed.

"LIES!" Coach Prime wrote in the comments.

Clearly, there's some behind-the-scenes turmoil we're not seeing between Browns brass and the Sanders family.

Is Sanders pushing back on the narrative that his son wasn't pro-ready? Or that Stefanski spends extra time tutoring the high-profile fifth-round pick?

It's not 100% obvious, but regardless, Shedeur is getting his chance to prove he can be an NFL quarterback, and will likely have the final four games to make his case.
