The Cleveland Browns have an uncertain situation at the quarterback position ahead of their Week 12 game against the Las Vegas Raiders.

That's because quarterback Dillon Gabriel exited the Week 11 loss to the Baltimore Ravens early due to a concussion. Gabriel's injury opened the door for backup quarterback Shedeur Sanders to make his NFL debut.

On Monday, head coach Kevin Stefanski revealed that Gabriel is still in the protocol and the team would provide an update on the quarterback situation on Wednesday.

"Browns rookie QB Dillon Gabriel remains in concussion protocol. Kevin Stefanski said he will provide an update on Wednesday as it pertains to how the team is handling preparations for the Raiders," ESPN's Daniel Oyefusi reported.

While it's hard to predict which way this will go because concussions can be tricky, we do know that the Browns will roll with Gabriel if he's healthy enough to play, Stefanski revealed on Sunday night.

"Browns' Kevin Stefanski said Dillon Gabriel will be back as the starter once he clears the concussion protocol but acknowledges a lot has to happen," Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com reported.

While Gabriel hasn't been good this season, Sanders didn't exactly provide much optimism in his debut.

The Colorado product looked completely overmatched en route to completing just 4-of-16 passes for 47 yards with one interception to zero touchdowns. Sanders was also sacked twice.

That said, the Browns still need to get an extended look at Sanders at some point in order to make sure he can't be the guy moving forward. His limited action on Sunday simply isn't enough to determine that.

Perhaps the Browns will get another look at Sanders in Week 12.
