Shedeur Sanders has successfully navigated his first NFL start by leading the Cleveland Browns to a 24-10 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 12.
Sanders completed 11-of-20 passes for 209 yards while throwing one touchdown to one interception.
With his victory, Sanders became the first Browns quarterback since the team came back into the league in 1999 to win his first career start, per The 33rd Team's Ari Meirov.
Previously, Browns quarterbacks were 0-17 in their first career starts.
Sanders' best pass of the day came on a 52-yard dime to wide receiver Isaiah Bond. Sanders was forced to roll out to his right and made the impressive throw on the run, setting up Cleveland's second touchdown of the game.
Sanders completed his first touchdown pass in the NFL in the fourth quarter when he hit rookie running back Dylan Sampson on a swing pass that Sampson took 66 yards to the house.
Sanders' interception was an ugly one, as he threw it to a receiver who was covered by three Raiders defenders. However, that's the kind of stuff you have to expect from an inexperienced quarterback like Sanders.
All in all, it was a solid showing from Sanders and in our humble opinion he was good enough to warrant another start in Week 13, even if Dillon Gabriel is healthy enough to play.
