Cleveland Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders will continue to not have a healthy offensive line for the final three games of the season.

The team announced Saturday that Jack Conklin will be placed on injured reserve, ending his season, ahead of the Browns Week 16 matchup with the Buffalo Bills.

In a corresponding move, Cleveland signed defensive back Christopher Edmonds to the active roster and elevated defensive tackles Keith Cooper Jr. And Maurice Hurst II from the practice squad.

Jack Conklin's concussion adds to Browns offensive line woes

Conklin has been sidelined since Nov. 30 while in concussion protocol and has appeared in just eight games for the Browns this season.

“As you know, with the concussion protocol, it’s very black and white. So just we’re going to follow the rules and make sure that we do that always with concussions," Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski said earlier in the week.

KT Leveston, who started the previous two games, is expected to start at right tackle on Sunday.

Conklin, 31, agreed to a reworked contract with Cleveland this past offseason that will make him a free agent after the 2025 season, according to ESPN’s Daniel Oyefusi. He has also battled eye, elbow and knee injuries this year.

The Browns appear headed for a significant offensive line overhaul, as left tackle Cam Robinson — who has filled in for the injured Dawand Jones for much of 2025 — along with guards Wyatt Teller and Joel Bitonio and center Ethan Pocic are all unsigned beyond this season. Both Conklin and Pocic (Achilles) endured injury-plagued campaigns, which could hurt their value on the open market.

At 3-11, Cleveland is already looking ahead to next season, with a full offseason of preparation for Sanders. Stefanski is reportedly on the hot seat and has yet to receive a commitment from ownership for 2026.
