The Cleveland Browns are in an odd quarterback situation at rookie minicamp.
Yes, there's fifth-round pick Shedeur Sanders and the hype machine that follows him. But there's also third-round pick Dillon Gabriel, who had a record-setting collegiate career.
If there's a scorecard for the competition just between the rookies (not counting veterans Joe Flacco and Kenny Pickett), Gabriel may have won day one on Friday.
The highlight of the day came from Gabriel's left arm.
Check out this rocket throw and sweet catch. That's Bowling Green legend Harold Fannin Jr., Cleveland's tight end of the future, on the grab.

Gabriel got the first snap of the day, something Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski downplayed as much as possible afterward.
But that was to be expected after Gabriel was drafted 50 picks before Sanders.
The rest of the weekend should feature plenty of solid moments by both of them.

Eventually, Cleveland will have to whittle down its QB depth chart a bit.
But for now, it's just a cool opportunity for the Browns to try and be excited about the future of their quarterback position.
